goodbye, alanabread

All things end, including this blog.

My first post was in July, 2011 and alanabread provided a space to practice cooking. I made a lot of macarons. I had a shitty little watermark but still tried my best. I’d always enjoyed documenting things I made, so trying harder to take decent photos was a natural progression. I went to uni, I bought a digital camera simply to avoid lining up at the media library. I kept practicing taking photos of food and food related things, both mine and otherwise.

Over time alanabread moved from recipe blog, to travel blog, to parody place, to bad review space, to kinda-professional portfolio – an earnest blog which became self-aware and turned on itself before conceding it was perhaps time to put the good photos elsewhere and move on. I couldn’t be more grateful to this experimental stomping ground on my part of the internet.

I have a new blog under my portfolio as a place for rolling updates of editorial work and personal work: alanadimou.com/blog. Please take a look and thank you, sincerely, for visiting.

Alana
